February 2021: New 24-HR Fuel bowser arrives at William Creek!
Another improvement arrives at William Creek that will make the travelling public even happier, access to 24-hour fuel.
Installation and preparations have been ongoing and on February 24th the final installment was completed.
Vehicles travelling along the Oodnadatta track in outback South Australia will benefit from this facility.
Last weekend 4th September - 6th September 2020 saw William Creek hold their Third Annual Outback Fly-in. With over 200 people attending over the whole weekend & 38 aircraft, it was a huge success!
It was great to see all the South Australians make the trip up to support our Outback Communities & get involved in all the weekends events.
Activities included CASA & Ozrunways seminars, Pub Trivia, a town tour, dog races, paper plane competitions & of course live music by Sarah Straschko, Acoustic Juice & John Schumann.

The parched landscape of outback South Australia is being rejuvenated by floodwaters that are now beginning to trickle into Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. Floodwaters from north Queensland have travelled about 1,000 kilometres to reach the ephemeral water source via the Channel Country.
William Creek charter pilot Trevor Wright said the speed and volume of the water had been greater than expected. He said water had started to go into the northern end of the lake after filling Goyder Lagoon closer to Queensland.
